Before Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee got a divorce, Lee used a big chunk of his earnings to gift Anderson an island somewhere in Dubai. Anderson wanted to put up some hotels on her island but money problems had prevented her from doing so. Her current plans for the island remains a mystery but maybe she can make a loan from her high-profile friends so that her hotel plans could push through.
Shakira – Bonds Cay, $16 Million
Shakira is one of the stars who invested her money in an island for business purposes. She and Roger Waters bought a 700-acre island in the Bahamas which was worth around $16 million. They apparently plan to set up hotels and prioritize developing private escapes for high profile names.
Bill Gates – Grand Bogue Caye, $25 Million
Bill Gates is known to be one of the wealthiest people in the world and he was once rumored to have purchased the biggest private island in Belize which is called the Grand Bogue Caye. As it turned out, the rumors are false and Gates just visited the $25-million island (and maybe had a cruise around it).
