Janet Leigh had a very active film career throughout the ’50s and ’60s, but her most famous role was as Marion Crane in Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho. In her marriage to fellow actor Tony Curtis, Leigh gave birth to two daughters. The younger of the two, Jamie Lee, inherited her mother’s angular features and facial shape and her father’s lively eyes. Jamie Lee Curtis also took up her mother’s mantle as a horror movie star, making her motion picture debut with the lead role in 1978’s Halloween and subsequently starring in its many sequels.
Jamie Lee Curtis is the recipient of a prestigious Golden Globe as well as a People’s Choice Award. She also has a Primetime Emmy Award nomination and seven Golden Globe nominations.
