Gilbert started her acting career as a child and found fame with her portrayal of Laura Ingalls Wilder in Little House on the Prairie, one of the most-watched shows on NBC. She went on to establish herself as quite an accomplished actress in the following years. The most surprising thing about these pictures of Melissa and her son, Dakota, is similar they look. Melissa had Dakota during her marriage to Bo Brinkman that ended in 1994.
Her genes are quite strong since they make the same face, but they also have the same characteristics. Dakota’s lived his life away from the spotlight. He made occasional appearances on TV, in 1997 with Laws of Deception, and with his last one being the short film called Shay in 2016. On the other hand, his mother, Melissa, is still acting today and adding to her earnings. Her last project was in 2019 with When We Last Spoke.
