Robert Pine isn’t exactly a household name these days, but he was beamed into every home across the United States in the ’70s and ’80s, appearing on shows like CHiPs and Lost in Space. Pine’s son Chris may be much more familiar face to young audiences as hunky Captain Kirk in the 2009 reboot of Star Trek, a role for which he packed on several pounds of muscle with a personal trainer.
Even in his bulked-up state, it’s easy to see that Chris Pine gets his piercing blue eyes and his chiseled jawline from his famous father. Pine’s debut film role was in The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement. Having been such a heartthrob in that film, he went on to land many lucrative roles. His latest was in Outlaw King in 2018.
