Mandy Moore Shares Fitness And Lifestyle Journey Through The Years

One of the best television drama series today is NBC’s This Is Us starring singer and actress Mandy Moore. She has been one of the most popular singers during the late 90s and the early 2000s. She is on the most recent cover of Shape magazine wherein she shared some of her greatest thoughts and feelings about her journey as a middle-aged woman as well as to inspire her fellow women when it comes to lifestyle, fitness and food choices, continue reading to find out more.
MOORE SHARES FITNESS ROUTINE WITH CELEBRITY TRAINER
In an interview with Shape magazine, the singer and actress revealed that she does have some fitness goals. Her co-star in This Is Us, Milo Ventimiglia, has always been very fit and speaks highly of his trainer Jason Walsh, who is known for being a phenomenal celebrity trainer for several celebrities over the years. This is what actually inspired the actress to start working out with Walsh, she would train during season breaks so that she could be more focused on it. Moore also said that she has always been feeding off of the energy and that she is not exactly the type of person who would just go to the gym for fun or would actually choose to do it. Which is why she just asked Walsh to teach her how to do strength training exercise that she could actually do by herself.
One of the perfect exercises that she learned from the celebrity trainer is the one that Walsh himself created known as the VersaClimber class that is named as the Rise Nation, wherein you would seem like climbing up the stairs that usually takes about half an hour. It may seem easy but Moore said that it is a lot more intense that she thought it would be. Moore also reveals that she does not let her weight define her since she never weighs herself, she is actually not the only celebrity who does that since Academy-award winning actress Kate Winslet does not weigh herself as well.
As a celebrity who basically grew up in front of the camera, you would think that she has always even confident about her physical being, turns out, she did have some insecurities herself. Moore said in an interview with Shape that when she was in teen tween years, she grew about four inches and she definitely felt really uncomfortable for being taller than everyone else her age and her posture started to suffer. However, she has managed to overcome all of those insecurities not because people are treating her differently now, but because she actually managed to learn and love herself without getting worried about how she looks. She is trying to prioritize her health at all times to be more confident.
SHARING HER FOOD CHOICES
Most celebrities are actually trying the vegan lifestyle nowadays but there are still some who are just having a simple but healthy relationship when it comes to their food choices. Moore was actually diagnosed with celiac disease after undergoing a biopsy wherein she found that she is actually gluten intolerant. So because of that, she had to be wise on everything that she eats. Moore also shares that she loves to snack on anything like nuts, berries, and crackers but she simply loves fish especially salmon. She also shares how important it is to eat to feel good and not just to look good.
TALKING ABOUT HER MENTAL HEALTH
The This Is Us actress may have shared quite a few things regarding her fitness routine as well as what she normally eats, but in an interview with Huffington Post last summer, she revealed her experience with having therapy for a better mental health. She admitted that she wants to be able to inspire people to get therapy when they know that they need it the most and that they should never feel ashamed of it. Other celebrities like Katy Perry and Jay-Z have been very open about mental health awareness as well.
Moore believes that going to therapies have actually helped her mental state in a lot of different ways especially during unexpected and unfortunate events in life. She believes that people should not just take care of their physical health but must also look into their mental health because it is just as important.
