Although Pompeo appeared on Friends in just a single episode, she managed to land the most lucrative role of her career some years later—the one of Meredith Grey in Grey’s Anatomy. Since then, she’s become one of the highest-earning actresses on TV, with an estimated salary of $20 million a year. Funnily enough, in 2019, Pompeo appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show claiming that she never watches Grey’s Anatomy as medical stuff stress her out too much.
