Richard Harris -Micahel Gambon – ‘Harry Potter’
Harry Potter needs no introduction. The film series adapted from a series of books by J.K. Rowling has attained legendary status and is equally popular among kids and adults. If you have seen the film series, you will know who Albus Dumbledore is.
Richard Harris was originally cast as Dumbledore in the first two films of this series. Unfortunately, Harris breathed his last in the year 2002 and the makers had to find a replacement for the third installment.
Michael Gambon was given the responsibility of carrying the role on his shoulders for the remaining six installments. After the demise of Harris, Ian McKellen was offered the role. However, he had to turn the offer down as he was busy shooting for Gandalf, a character from Lord of the Rings.
