Max Baer Jr.’s father was a famous boxing champion. And he was probably troubled when his son told him that he would pursue an acting career. Baer Jr. knew it was the right thing, though. Two years after his acting debut, he joined the
Beverly Hillbillies cast portraying Jethro Bodine. Bodine was pretty silly a character, but he helped Baer increase his reputation and gather a good amount of money. Baer’s career after the series’ end wasn’t as fruitful, though, as he ended up being typecast. As of 2015, Baer remains the series’ last remaining member, so imagine how long ago we’re talking about!
