Pierre Cardin – 1922
Pierre Cardin, born on July 2, 1922, is the creator of exclusive furniture and fashion designs, notably the bubble dress and Space Age designs. Before fame, Cardin worked as an apprentice for a clothier and tailor. He studied architecture in Paris and worked for a fashion house before launching his own in 1950. In 1991, he was designated as a
UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador. His prestigious fashion brand expanded into cosmetics and perfumes in the ’60s. Geometric shapes always fascinated Pierre, leading him to create the
Bubble House in 1975. His favorite car is the
Jaguar and he proudly owns two.
