Alan Greenspan, an American economic practitioner, runs a private company called
Greenspan Associates LLC where he works as a private financial advisor, offering consultancy services to various firms. In 1987, the 92-year-old economist was appointed by President Ronald Reagan to chair the Federal Reserve. That was the same period that he served as the chairman of the Federal Open Market Committee for 19 years until he retired in 2006. Greenspan left his consultancy company to work in the board of Federal Reserve and it boosted his profile incredibly leading to many observers comparing him to a “rock star”
