Vanessa Redgrave – 1937

Vanessa Redgrave is an English political activist and actress who became an American Theatre Hall of Famer in 2003. The Royal Shakespeare Company’s production, As You Like It, gave her career as an actress prominence in 1961. Redgrave has been nominated a total of six times for the Academy Awards and eventually clinched the Best Supporting Actress nod for her performance in the 1977 film, Julia. She’s also a part of a famous showbiz family which includes her daughters, Joely and Natasha, as well as her son-in-law, Liam Neeson. In 2015, she revealed that she had emphysema as a result of years of smoking cigarettes.
