Everyone knows Willie Mays or William Howard Mays Jr is one of the living baseball stars in sports history. His twenty-two-year-long career in Major League Baseball was an illustrious one and he played for teams such as New York/ San Francisco Giants.
Mays rounded off his career by playing for the New York Mets. His career began at the prestigious Baseball Hall of Fame early in 1979. Mays won the Most Valuable Player title twice. Besides that, he also won the Gold Glove Awards. Apart from that, he became an integral part of the All-Star game and played for it a whopping 24 times!
