William Henry Cosby Jr. is a popular face mainly as a stand-up comedian, actor, and author. His career kickstarted in the 1960s as a comedian. His career on television with the show I Spy followed suit, with the show The Bill Cosby Show. The show enjoyed a long run almost two seasons from 1969 to 1971.
In 1972, another of his shows gained prominence with Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids. Apart from his television and film career, he added many honorary degrees such as the Doctor of Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Cosby married his lady love, Camille Hanks, in 1964 and has five children.
Cosby’s worth stands at $400 million, owing to his hugely popular show The Cosby Show, where he used to get $4-million-per-episode as payments.
