Kim Novak – 1933

Kim Novak is one of the very few actresses who attained great fame and fortune in their prime, but eventually fell out of the radar – by choice! Novak’s first love was definitely acting, with movies like The Man with the Golden Arm (1955) and Picnic (1955) under her belt. Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo (1958) gave her career an unprecedented boost, and from then on, she became globally recognized. However, in her later years, she got over her first love and made way for her second and third – visual arts and horses. While tending to horses does have its perks, it is also a pretty dangerous job. Novak found that out in 2006 in a horse riding accident with injuries to her lungs and nerves that thankfully got proper treatment. Fortunately, it was nothing serious.
