She won 2 Emmy Awards for her part in the series Family. In 1980, she was the lead in the coming of age drama Little Darlings. Her performance was praised even by those who didn’t like the film. Later that year she starred in the movie The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia and got a 6-figure paycheck – an all-time record for a teenager. She is now 57 years old and enjoys a great life away from the glitz and glam of the entertainment industry.
