Stars From Hollywood’s Golden Era Who Are Surprisingly Still Alive And Kicking – Find Out What They’re Up To Now

Tony Bennett – 1926

Anthony Dominick Benedetto has won 18 Grammy Awards from the 36 nominations he received. He has been a popular name in the traditional pop industry since 1945. However, don’t be surprised if his name doesn’t ring a bell. You don’t recognize him probably because he is popular by his stage name Tony Bennett. Tony Bennett had humble beginnings in Queens but developed his art of singing at an early age.

By the time he had reached double figures, he was already giving spectacular performances in his neighborhood and beyond. Serving in the US Army in WWII, he suffered his share of injuries and after the doctors gave him a clean bill of health, he came out with a newfound perspective toward life. It was not until the ’50s that success finally glanced in his direction. He suffered a huge setback in the ’60s and the ’70s but eventually turned it all around. In his 90s, we can find him jamming with the current pop stars even today.
