Marilyn Jeanne McGuire is a popular former actress and a contralto singer, who was a household name in the 1940s. She was famous not just for her acting and singing skills, but also for her distinct red hair Marcy McGuire. She started her career as a teenage girl. At the time, she was already working as a nightclub entertainer.

She gradually retired from acting after she married actor Wally Cassel. He then went into business and became successful which meant Marcy never had to work to earn money again. Her final film role came in 1963 when she appeared in Disney’s Summer Magic. While it’s been a really long time since we saw her on screen, we continue to miss her.
