Meera Syal is an English comedian, writer, playwright, singer, journalist, and actress. Syal is best known for her work in the BBC sketch comedy series “Goodness Gracious Me,” which she co-wrote with Anil Gupta and Sanjeev Bhaskar. The singer has also written and performed in her own BBC sitcom, “The Kumars at No. 42.”
