The thick beard, curly hair, and round colored glasses make Jerry Garcia look every bit the ’60s child. And that smile is one of a man delighted with his lot in life. But, of course, if you were the lead songwriter and vocalist of a band as reputable as the “Grateful Dead,” you’d be happy too.
But Garcia was far from satisfied with his band’s performance at Woodstock that Saturday night. When technical difficulties and copious amounts of LSD transformed what should have been a memorable night into a disaster – Poor Garcia never imagined things could go wrong when he posed for this photo before his appearance.
