Janis Joplin Shows off Her Moves
Ah yes, this picture clearly shows Janis Joplin enjoying the effects of her pre-performance activities. And we’re unwilling to judge because come on, it was Woodstock after all. And everyone from attendees to performers was imbibing. Unsurprisingly, she performed the hit song “Ball and Chain.”
But this is a perfect opportunity to make a case against photographs. Because they don’t always tell the whole story. Now Joplin looks like she’s having the time of her life, strutting for the crowd. But in truth, she was probably grateful to be taking a break from singing while her band member, Snooky Flowers, handled the mic.
