What’s on Joe Cocker’s Mind
We could hardly guess what was on Joe Cocker’s mind as he sat there with that incredulous look on his face. But considering that his band was set to perform before a half-sleepy crowd, he was probably cooking up a scheme to get the audience excited once again, or maybe not.
But if we’re right, then he couldn’t have chosen a better song than “Let’s Go Get Stoned.” After all, the drugs and alcohol were already flowing freely. The sleepy crowd may have needed extra effort to get them clear-eyed once more. But in the end, Cocker’s music was all the only boost they needed.
