You Won’t Believe These Photos from the 1969 Woodstock Festival: From Eccentric Spectators to Spellbinding Performances from Names like Jimi Hendrix.
Blood, Sweat & Tears – More and More
The jazz-rock group “Blood, Sweat & Tears” couldn’t have chosen a better song than “More and More” to begin their set that morning on day three of Woodstock. They soon followed with a cover of Randy Newman’s “Just One Smile.” But what could have been a spectacular performance was marred by a poor horn section intonation.
Obviously, nothing could be done about the humidity in the air which was causing the problem. So the band was dogged by this complication throughout their set. So even though the crowd was encouraging, and their performance was remarkable, “Blood Sweat & Tears” refused to participate in the Woodstock documentary or album later.
